Sticking Variations
To develop the high level of control and precision needed for advanced literature, a set of 12 Sticking Variations has been included for every page in the Rhythm Section.
16ths - 3 Note
Some of the most common rhythms in percussion literature is the 16ths 3-Note Permutations. The Packet dives into these rhythms with logical progressions that solidify the student's sightreading capabilities.
16ths - 2 Note
The 16ths 2-Note Permutations are essential for any percussionist who wants to handle a wide variety of literature. Like the 3-Note Permutations, the 2-Notes are also presented in a thoughtful sequence to insure mastery.
Triple Time
Navigating through Triple Time signatures (3/8, 6/8, 9/8, etc) can be challenging for many percussionists. The Packet presents counting and sticking strategies to combat these challenges.
Odd Numbers
The highest level literature is full of odd numbered rhythms: 5's and 7's being two of them. The Packet works these rhythms to prepare students for handling these "complex" situations.
